What's in a name?

Our CEO, Tom Hogue, selected our name after careful consideration about who we are, what we do, and the results we provide for our clients. The word Gibraltar brings to mind the simile "solid as the Rock of Gibraltar," which is used to describe a person or situation that cannot be overcome and does not fail.

The Rock of Gibraltar personifies the resilience and determination of its people. Gibraltar IT is no different. We strive to provide clients with the best solution possible for their IT needs, using our experience and passion to overcome any situation that may come our way.

Tom started his IT services business in 2003.  Since 2003, the business has grown from Tom being the only employee to the current size of approximately 20 employees.  Gibraltar has been recognized for its fast growth and superior client service, winning awards such as the Philadelphia 100, Inc. 5000, CRN Fast Growth 100, and the SmartCEO Future 50.
